JIE XIA

Xia, who started studying professional painting at the age of 12, graduated from the Architectural Design Department of China Academy of Art, one of the best art academies in China. During her 15-year career in Shanghai, she participated in the Shanghai Football Stadium, Art Museum, and Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences. and many other construction projects. In 2019, driven by love, she moved from the concrete jungle to the scenic Munich. By Corona crisis life seemed to come to a sudden stop, after a period of accumulation and understanding, she figured out that she should remain true to her original aspiration and pick up painting brush again.

The "Shou" series presented in this exhibition express the simplicity and tranquility among animals through the confrontation between realism and abstraction, and the conflict between mild and bold color, pure and passionate staying together, protecting, conveying the power of life and love, and the concept of all flesh are equal.
