CATRIN WIFLING

CATRIN WIFLING is a German self-taught artist with a deep passion for art history, architecture, and design. She works as a teacher in a Secondary School but devotes much of her free time to her artistic pursuits. A seasoned traveler, Evi draws inspiration from the diverse cultures she encounters, which reflects in the vibrancy of her work. She is also an avid tennis player, a passion that frequently surfaces in her art.

Evi’s artistic expression primarily revolves around abstract paintings, but she also delves into cubist canvases, often inspired by her love for tennis. The dynamic energy and movement of the sport are captured in her use of bold, vibrant colors, reminiscent of the Fauves painters. Additionally, she draws inspiration from Cubist masters like Braque and Picasso, integrating geometric forms and fragmented perspectives into her work. Her ability to blend the intensity of sport with the complexity of cubism and the vibrancy of Fauvism results in a unique and captivating artistic style.
